Why You’ll Love This Recipe
I love making snack mix for the holidays. And while I usually go for the savory stuff, this sweet and salty combo is one of my family’s favorites! I should warn you, I could eat all 14 cups of this stuff by myself. It’s kind of addicting.
- Crunchy, buttery goodness: Every bite has that satisfying crunch from graham crackers, cereal, and nuts, and it’s all coated in a sweet honey-butter glaze.
 - Crowd-pleasing & portable: Great for road trips, movie nights, and lunchboxes. It’s a treat that both kids and adults love!
 - Great for gift giving! Just package it up in a cellophane bag and tie it with a pretty ribbon. If you’ll be sending care packages this holiday season, this snack mix travels beautifully.

Recipe Tips
- Use a big bowl or roasting pan: My favorite container for mixing this up is a large roasting pan. It gives you plenty of space to stir without crushing the mix.
 - Line your pan: Using parchment paper or foil sprayed with non-stick cooking spray makes cleanup so much easier!
 - Toss while warm: Add the coating to the cereal mixture while it’s still warm for the best, most even coverage.
 - Use name brand cereal: I find that store brand cereals go soggy quickly in this recipe. The name brand version stays nice and crunchy, so I don’t usually skimp there.
 - Don’t overcook the candy coating! It’s meant to be a little chewy, so don’t overcook it or it will harden into one solid mass.

Storing and Making Ahead
- Cool completely first: If stored while warm, moisture can make it soggy.
 - Use an airtight container: It be good for up to a week at room temperature.
 - Freeze for later: Store in freezer-safe bags for up to 2 months—perfect for make-ahead holiday treats!

Variations and Fun Twists
- Harvest Mix: Add cinnamon Chex, toasted pecans, and dried cranberries to the base mix, then drizzle with melted white chocolate once cooled.
 - Maple Nut Mix: Replace honey with pure maple syrup and add almonds or walnuts.
 - Tropical Mix: Add coarsely chopped macadamia nuts, and dried pineapple to the base mix, then drizzle with melted white chocolate once cooled.
